Here is where your journey towards a healthier you begins. And you don't have to do it alone. Do it with someone who can really see you.

This is more than just therapy; it’s a space created for you to heal and grow.
Personalized Support: Receive therapy sessions tailored to your unique needs, whether you're dealing with anxiety, grief, depression, or simply seeking personal growth.
A Safe Haven: Express your emotions freely in a non-judgmental environment where you are seen, heard, and respected for who you are.
Culturally Competent Care: Connect with a Black male therapist who understands your experiences without needing to explain the basics
An Opportunity for Growth: Prioritize your well-being and unlock your potential. This is your chance to choose yourself and feel safe doing so.

You don’t have to perform
You can speak freely, without judgment
You’re not “too emotional” for being real and expressing yourself
You’re seen, heard, and respected
You are allowed to choose you and can feel safe choosing you
Carrying the weight of your family, job, and reputation
Smiling through stress, pretending you’re okay
Feeling unseen, unheard, misunderstood
Drowning in pressure...but expected to stay silent
Saying “yes” to everyone but yourself
Transform shame into self-worth and freedom.
Heal the wounds of trauma with courage and compassion.
Move beyond depression into clarity and hope.
Discover the healing beneath the anger.
Find meaning and peace as you move through grief.
Transform the anxiety that holds you back into information that moves you forward.
You don’t need another surface-level conversation. You need a space rooted in cultural understanding, professional care, and real experience.
I’m licensed to provide therapy in Arkansas, Texas, New Jersey, Virginia, Louisiana, and Georgia, with specialized certifications in trauma recovery, anger management, domestic violence, and healing-centered practices like sound therapy and yoga.
With over 20 years of combined experience as an educator, coach, and clinical mental health professional, I’ve walked with clients through burnout, grief, identity shifts, and emotional overload.
This isn’t just what I do, it’s a part of who I am. And I’ve created this space for Black men to finally feel seen, safe, and supported.

Your Questions Answered: Insights for a healthier, and a more whole You
We’ll talk briefly about what you’re going through, what you want support with, and how I might be able to help. It is also where you can get all of your questions answered.
This is a free consultation, not therapy. If it feels like a good fit, I’ll walk you through next steps for working together. Although it is not therapy, it could be the beginning of your therapy journey.
Just show up. This space is for you to be you. No expectations. No pressure.
For the consultation, we do recommend that you come prepared with any questions or concerns you have about therapy or the process of therapy. This is your time to get any answers or concerns addressed.
Your first session involves discussing your concerns and creating a tailored plan for your therapeutic journey.
Yes, confidentiality is paramount in all sessions, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines.
Yes, we offer teletherapy, also known as virtual sessions, which provide flexibility and accessibility.
If feeling stuck by something emotional, in distress, having a difficult time coping, or finding it hard to navigate daily life, consider therapy (counseling). For effective goal setting and strategy to get to the next level, consider coaching.
Our approach is integrative, focusing on communication, understanding emotional needs, and practical strategies for strengthening relationships. We employ various techniques, including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and other tools tailored to your specific needs at the moment.
While we work with people from all walks of life, this space was created with Black men in mind, because we don’t always get spaces that see us, hear us, and hold us. If this message resonates with you, you’re welcome here. Short answer is: No, this service is not just for Black Men.
That’s real, and this is a great consideration, and I respect your experience. Not every therapist or approach fits every person. This consultation is a chance to explore something different, with someone who truly sees you and respects your journey. And we will discuss your prior experiences to get a better understanding of what you need in therapy.
Absolutely. You don’t have to be in crisis to need support. In fact, the best time to reach out is before everything hits the fan and you are in crisis. Think of this as proactive care for your peace of mind.
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll discuss options for ongoing support, whether that’s therapy or a referral that serves your needs best. No pressure, just possibilities.
Yes, we accept some insurance providers.
We accept the following insurance providers:
- BlueCross and BlueShield
- Carelon Behavioral Health
- Cigna & Evernorth
- New Directions | Lucet
- Optum
- UnitedHealthcare UHC | UBH
- *Ambetter (through single-case-agreements only-explained below)
* Although we do not accept all insurance providers, we are sometime able to obtain a temporary (up to a year of service) "Single-Case-Agreement" with your provider which allows you to use your in-network benefits. Depending on your provider, you may have to initiate that agreement. This can be discussed during the 15-Minute Consultation.
** Another option is to private pay for sessions. You will then be provided a Super-Bill which you provide to your insurance company for reimbursement and/or as a contribution to your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
Because insurance and finances can be intimidating, there is time to discussed this during the 15-minute consultation. Have your questions ready.
